The full day Safe Assembly & Use of LSD Ladder Staging System has been designed for employees who are required to work at height from the temporary staging system, which comes complete with toe board assembly, guardrail posts and handrails. Candidates will be instructed in the correct method used to secure the ladders that supports the system, together with the correct assembly of the staging system using the fall restraint equipment as specified for this course.
This will also involve receiving instruction on the fitting and use of a safety harness combined with a safety rope system that allows the operative to conform to the Work at Height Regulation 2005, being able to maintain 3 points of contact at all times during the assembly procedure. The course includes both theory and practical sessions during which candidates will demonstrate in a safe and controlled environment that they are competent in assembling and using all of the specified equipment.
The course is concluded by a short test, and when successfully completed candidates will then be considered to be a “competent person” as specified by the Health & Safety Executive and will receive both a photo ID and certification which will be valid for 5 years.
